Professional Experience
Kevin Fard is an associate attorney practicing in the Criminal Defense and
Civil Litigation Departments at the Law Offices of Bob Nehoray. Mr. Fard
has extensive experience in criminal defense including a clerkship with the
County of San Diego Alternate Public Defender's Office. During his
clerkship Mr. Fard handled all aspects of felony cases ranging from high
profile murder cases, to drug possession and sales, robberies, domestic
violence and highly specialized sexually violent predator cases.
He also worked at the Public Defender's Office in Santiago, Chile
(Defensoría Penal Pública), and was selected for a graduate fellowship in
criminal law. Mr. Fard's passion for criminal defense is evident in the way
he handles every matter, whether a routine traffic ticket or a high profile
felony case. Mr. Fard's aggressive advocacy of his clients' interests has
resulted in numerous reductions and dismissals of criminal charges.
Mr. Fard's passion for the courtroom also serves as a foundation for his
experience in the firm's Civil Litigation Department. His strong writing
skills and extensive knowledge of the Code of Civil Procedure allow Mr. Fard
to aggressively litigate matters in order to obtain the optimal resolution
for his clients. Mr. Fard has handled many litigation matters including,
but not limited to, Wrongful Termination, Sexual Harassment, Discrimination,
and Personal Injury.
Mr. Fard earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Diego
School of Law in 2010. Prior to law school, Mr. Fard graduated from the
University of California, Santa Barbara in 2007 with a degree in Political
Science and a Minor in History, and worked as a congressional staff intern
in Washington, DC for the Office of Congressman Mike Thompson of the First
District of California.
